(About)
Hi, I'm Maalavidaa
Â
That's my artist name, though feel free to call me Alycia âşď¸
I'm a French graphic designer and digital artist based in Montreal, and I've been on a quest to master the power of colors since 2016.
After graduating with a Master's Degree in Arts & Graphic Design, I created Maalavidaa as both a persona and a mindset that allows me to focus on putting mental health and wellness at the forefront of my practice, further defining myself as a designer of emotions.
My highly saturated abstract aesthetic is inspired by Jungian therapy, Color Therapy, and Meditation. Through my work, I aim to explore the complexity of emotions while promoting creative introspection as a path to increasing emotional intelligence and mental health sensitivity.Â
As your teacher in this class, I hope to convey my love for color so that you can harness its power and access new levels of self-discovery.
For me, art is a tool for connection with ourselves, and with each other. Whether Iâm designing, teaching, or collaborating, I always return to the same intention: to create work that feels honest, intentional, and alive.
And thatâs what I hope to pass on to you. Not just a technique but a mindset. I want to help you reconnect with your inner world, trust your creative instincts, and find clarity in your self-expression. This is about more than making something beautiful, itâs about learning to see yourself with compassion, curiosity, and depth. Iâm just here to guide the way.
